Then the boys were getting ready to head out to the airport when Joe's bull got out of the pasture. Thirty minutes later, he was back in, but not before destroying a gate. One of the farmhands got to work on that and the boys headed out to Canilla International Airport (a dirt strip with one hangar - the Fickers').
They got a good amount of work done on the plane - which is almost ready to have the wings re-attached. There is still quite a bit to be done yet - the body of the plane has to be stripped, the interior has to be redone, and the motors re-attached, but progress is being made.
Duane was in the US with Hannah all last week and was really blessed by all the people he came in contact with. Special thanks to all of you (you know who you are) who were able to make their trip wonderful!
Duane got in at about 1:30am on Saturday night and brought a most wonderful gift from some folks in the US. A brand new laptop ultrasound was donated and our support group in Houston purchased a probe, a battery, and a hard case for it!!! The Fickers have been working with some pretty tired old ultrasound machines for the last few years and this is a tremendous blessing. They get called to a fair number of housecalls, too, and this machine is portable (and battery powered), so it should make a very big difference for the patients they serve.
Anyway, we forgot to post one picture from last week's team. With that team (who we'd like to thank again for their tremendous generosity!) came our friend, Matt Brouwer. You might remember us talking about him before, but he's a pretty big star in the Christian Contemporary Music scene. He's been Canada's Christian Artist of the Year at least once and has won many, many other awards. Matt got a chance to play with him some around the house last week and it was a blast! So the first pic is Matt and Matt.
The second and third pics are of Katie with the new ultrasound machine... YAY!!!
Today was clinic in Nueva Santa Catarina. Tomorrow is a follow-up clinic from the Women's Team, Wednesday and Friday are Hospital Buen Samaritano, Thursday is ASELSI, and Saturday and Sunday are back out with the Fickers... Whew! So much for resting up before the baby!

So good to see you playing one of your instruments again. It was a year ago we heard your last gig with Key West the Band. Looking forward to hearing a new CD soon.
God bless you in another busy week serving God and the people of Guatemala.
Special blessings to Heidi, Matt and Isaac.
Love, Mom
Good news (about the plane and ultrasound)
Good views (of the womb)
Good "muse" (muse+ick = music)
Good luck.
Good bye.
